Bridlington Old Town Association is working together with Bridlington Royal British Legion and 1940’s enthusiasts, singers and dancers, Re-Enactment Groups, Vintage and Military Vehicle Collections, 1940’s trade stands, demonstrations – all to bring to Bridlington Old Town a Really Great 1940’s Festival and a celebration of the Launch of The New ‘Dad’s Army Film in February’.

We are calling upon all Military and Civilian 1940’s and earlier vehicle owners to support the Bridlington Old Town 1940’s Event and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal by Registering and bringing your vehicles.

Fellow Re-enactors, friends of the 40’s and the 1940’s most marvellous meet ups followers are most welcome, we look forward to seeing you on the day.

The New Dad's Army Film.

With the recent Universal Pictures 'Dads Army 'filming in Bridlington Old Town's Georgian High Street as Walmington On Sea, including a superb St Georges Day Parade lead by Bridlington's Own Town Crier David Hinde in the cameo role of the Walmington-On-Sea Town Crier watched by the Mayor of Walmington-On-Sea, former Mayor of Bridlington Cllr Cyril Marsburg, many of Old Town's businesses were used for individual shop sets in the film. The film opened worldwide in Cinemas on February 5th 2016 after a World Film Premiere at Leicester Square London.

Bridlington’s Old Town 1940’s Summer Festival on Sunday June 10th 2018 will be the place to be.
