Coastal Voices Choir

A community choir based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, Coastal Voices will be be performing at the 1940’s Festival. They are currently rehearsing a new 1940’s set for the Festival.

The Yorkshire Corps of Drums was formed in 2001 to maintain the traditional sound of drum and fife. A popular addition the 1940’s day and a big part of our 1940’s day parade.

David Hinde Town Crier Helmsley

David Hinde Bridlington’s very own singing Town Crier is a fine Bass Baritone vocalist who has performed as a Principal with York, Malton, Driffield, Scarborough Operatic Societies.

Hunmanby Silver Band

Hunmanby Silver Band is a friendly band that welcomes new players of all abilities and ages.  The Band performs about 30 engagements a year, concentrated around the Summer Season and Christmas under the Musical Direction of Barrie Donaldson.

The New Dad's Army Film.

With the recent Universal Pictures 'Dads Army 'filming in Bridlington Old Town's Georgian High Street as Walmington On Sea, including a superb St Georges Day Parade lead by Bridlington's Own Town Crier David Hinde in the cameo role of the Walmington-On-Sea Town Crier watched by the Mayor of Walmington-On-Sea, former Mayor of Bridlington Cllr Cyril Marsburg, many of Old Town's businesses were used for individual shop sets in the film. The film opened worldwide in Cinemas on February 5th 2016 after a World Film Premiere at Leicester Square London.

Bridlington’s Old Town 1940’s Summer Festival on Sunday June 10th 2018 will be the place to be.
